Select Braemar Lodge & Spa is a luxurious lodge nestled in the foothills of the Southern Alps, close to the village of Hanmer Springs.

All suites include an open-plan sleeping and living area with LCD TV, gas fire and super-king size beds. Guests can pamper themselves in the marble bathroom with double spa bath and double shower. All suites have a private balcony, many with a hot tub.

Braemar Lodge has a fantastic restaurant with panoramic views of the Hanmer Basin and surrounding mountains. Guests can enjoy the à la carte menu and a selection of New Zealand wines. Dining on the outdoor terrace is also an option in the summer months.

The lodge’s own Spa Braemar offers a range of massages and body treatments.

Select Braemar Lodge & Spa is approximately a 10-minute drive from Hanmer Springs and 90 minutes from Christchurch.

    Quite a sad experience unfortunately. Ordered two meals, mine didn't have veges as stated, and the other was fish that was like rubber uncooked veges, and raw potatoes. And this took more than an hour
